Karlyn/STI has a Direct Ignition Coil removal Kit #499Z that is
specifically designed to safely remove all the popular VW/Audi
Ignition Coils, including Karlyn/STI coil #’s 11961T, 11963T, 11971T,
20112, 20115, 20121, 20122, 20126, 20127, 20128 & 5014.

This kit will eliminate the damage that is done to these coils when
they are removed with improper tools. To encourage the use of
these tools, we have priced the entire kit below what an individual
puller tool would cost. Every individual or shop that does
maintenance on a VW/Audi vehicle should own this kit.

Please Note: Coils returned with Scratch marks or physical housing
damage from using improper tools, will not qualify for warranty.

The Spark Plug Connectors on some of the most popular VW & Audi applications are difficult to remove. Pulling on the connectors with improper pincers will often damage the connector or the plug. There are plastic tools available, but they are fragile and do not work well when the engine is HOT. Finally, we have a sturdy tool that can safely remove the Spark Plug Connector from these applications even when the engine is HOT.
